- About
This year, we're inviting our Ultra Challengers and BPF supporters to help us reach the charity's 2024 online fundraising target of £40,000 in support of BPF Malawi's youth work in rural Lilongwe. In joining us on the Thames Path Challenge (or another Ultra Series event or personal challenge), we're asking each of you to set up a personal fundraising page - specifically in aid of this BPF campaign - and to independently target a minimum of £450 (excluding Gift Aid)... Let's see if we can each target £1,000 or more!
Funds raised will be allocated to the following three charity-supported focus areas in Malawi:
- Sport for Development (S4D) - supporting the delivery of youth rugby, netball and life skills programs as part of on-site community centre youth clubs and outreach activities (involving 1,200 young people and coaches)
- Community centre running costs - contributing to ongoing site maintenance, security and vehicle expenses
- Community centre improvements - helping us to invest in site projects, e.g. NGO vehicle procurement or resurfacing the two netball courts
Meeting this £40,000 target will enable us to take confident onward steps in continuing to support the delivery of BPF Malawi's 2025 'Ndizotheka' strategy.
