Charlie & Luke walk the Thames for BPF Malawi

Team captain: Charlie Line

About

BPF is an incredible charity helping young Malawian boys and girls learn invaluable life skills alongside playing netball and non-contact rugby. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and BPF has been doing wonderfully meaningful work for the last 10 years, empowering children and young people to fulfil their potential. Alongside the netball and rugby activities, where young people learn about being part of a team and working together, they take classes to learn about their sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as how to confront the many challenges they face. One of our favourite aspects of BPF Malawi is that young people are offered roles within the organisation to give back to their community, once they've been through BPF Malawi's sporting and learning pathways.

We're attempting to walk 97 km together (Charlie 25 km and Luke 72 km) along the Thames as part of an organised challenge on the 14th September. We need to raise as much as possible, with the funds raised going directly to BPF Malawi's ongoing community centre programming and the life-changing opportunities being offered to young Malawians.
